Tommy Dorsey Orchestra

Event Description
In Big Band history, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra is recognized as one of the best all-around bands. It could swing with the best of them, and no other band could come close to Tommy's when it came to playing ballads, especially when they were sung by a young Frank Sinatra. Now under the direction of trombonist Jeff Bush (Harry Connick Jr alum), today's TDO carries on the tradition by playing the biggest hits such as Opus One, Song Of India and Marie. Going far beyond a "tribute" show, The TDO includes fresh, new arrangements of entertaining material that fits the swinging Dorsey tradition.
The amazing vocal tradition of The TDO continues with vocalist Kate Curran. A dynamic storyteller with lush, powerful vocals, Ms. Curran accolades include performing with Louis Prima Jr and The Glenn Miller Orchestra. You can expect to hear Kate sing Dorsey hits such as I'll Be Seeing You and On The Sunny Side Of The Street along with other classic hits of the swing era.
