Country stars Phil Vassar & Joe Nichols coming to Meyer Theatre for separate concerts
Country music sensations Joe Nichols and Phil Vassar will be making separate appearances at the Meyer Theatre as part of the Y100 Country Series presented by Nicolet Bank. A special ticket package for $50 will get you tickets to both concerts. The package price goes on sale Friday, Sept. 25 at 11am.
Joe Nichols – Friday, Nov. 6 at 8pm. With the aptly titled Old Things New, the award-winning, grammy-nominated Nichols once again balances artistry with accessibility, applying his distinctive baritone to new songs that define country music for modern times. It’s the perfect follow up to his acclaimed 2007 album, Real Things, which landed Nichols on a multitude of best-of-the-year lists, including those published by the New York Times, Miami Herald, Dallas Morning News, Associated Press, CMT.com and many others.
Phil Vassar – Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 at 8pm. Those who best understand Phil Vassar – good-time, whirling-dervish-on-the-piano, hardest-working-man-in-country-music Phil Vassar – also understand the ongoing evolution of his mostly self-penned music. And Prayer Of A Common Man, his fourth studio album and first for Universal Records South, adds several more layers of artistic expression to his deepening repertoire. The Virginia-born singer, songwriter and musician took his seat as country's leading piano man with the success of songs like "Just Another Day In Paradise" and "Six-Pack Summer," and his penchant for pure musical escapism continues.
