Description
Nashville Blend features a collaboration of several artists, including the ever- popular Sam and Ruby. Sam Brooker, a De Pere native, and his soulful partner Ruby Amanfu’s last release, The Here and Now, landed them the number 1 spot on AP’s 2009 Top Albums list, beating out competitors like Norah Jones, The Black Eyed Peas, Maria Carey and Jay-Z. Their song, Heaven is My Home, also made it into the film “The Secret Life of Bees”, featuring Queen Latifah and Jennifer Hudson. (Samandrubymusic.com)
Jeremy Lister, the third member of Nashville Blend, quickly caught the attention of Warner Brothers Records upon moving to Nashville and passing his CD to anyone who would listen. WBR signed Lister in 2007. Most recently, he’s toured with Brett Dennen and Colbie Callait, as well as doing his own shows throughout the Nashville area. His single “Just One Day” was featured on MTV’s The Hills. (Jeremylister.com)
Nashville songsmith, Tyler James, will entertain with songs from his recently released full-length LP, “It Took The Fire.” With meticulously crafted arrangements disguised as simple pop tunes—it is one part classic 70s, another part Memphis soul. James' songs have found their way onto television shows like ABC's "Brothers and Sisters" and MTV's "The Hills." Additionally, his song "Call My Name" (a collaborative effort with DJ Morgan Page) reached number 5 on Billboard's worldwide dance charts last year. (Tylerjames.com)
Andy Davis’s remastered rerelease of "Thinks of Her" (2005) gained him national exposure and brought him to the attention of legendary music producer Mitchell Froom (Paul McCartney, Sheryl Crow, Elvis Costello). The result of their collaboration was "Let the Woman," a sophisticated, sonically adventurous album that ignited a bidding war. Barnes and Noble won the exclusive rights to distribute "Let the Woman" online and and in their stores all over the world. The album's single, "Brown Eyes," became a staple on AAA radio stations nationwide, and "Let the Woman" became a #4 bestseller. Anydavisonline.com
